"...a wine of medium-rich texture and lovely red and purple fruit aromas with elderberry and something much softer like Morello cherry. Those ripe and concentrated flavors give depth and volume to this wine, yet it also shows the heightened acidic freshness that Sangiovese delivers so well, and some chalky minimality. The tannins are yielding and not quite approachable, but they're almost there. This wine sees 30 months in Slavonian oak, and 50,000 bottles will hit the market in January 2024. 94 Points." …Wine starts in the vineyard…

New “modern” agronomic management with respect to the past adapting to climactic changes over time accompanied by traditional ageing in Slavonian oak barrels to preserve original features.

In the vineyard: our focus is on growing grapes that, according to the physical and chemical characteristics of each vineyard, achieve good freshness through meticulous management of the leaf canopy around the grapes as well as concentration through cluster thinning of excess bunches.

In the cellar: it is our belief that Sangiovese in the territory of Montalcino has a flavour to preserve: the use of Slavonian oak barrels, average size 30hl, is able to lend the wine a quality of aromas that do not mask the unique taste of Sangiovese Grosso cultivated in our area.
