Based in Austria’s Carnuntum region, the Grassl family estate has been producing wine for generations. Under the direction of Philipp Grassl since the 1990s, the winery is now known for precise, terroir-driven wines that highlight Carnuntum’s warm climate and gravel, loess, and limestone soils.
Specializing in native red varieties like Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, and St. Laurent, along with small plantings of Grüner Veltliner and Chardonnay, Grassl crafts wines that balance ripeness with freshness and minerality. Sustainable vineyard practices, hand harvesting, and minimal-intervention cellar work ensure that each bottle captures the authentic character of the region.
