About Domaine Rostaing-Tayard
Domaine Rostaing-Tayard is a biodynamic winery located in the picturesque Coteaux du Lyonnais, nestled between the Beaujolais and Northern Rhône regions of France. Founded by Emmanuel Rostaing-Tayard, the estate spans approximately 10 hectares of vineyards, primarily planted with Gamay and Chardonnay. Inspired by his family’s agricultural heritage, Emmanuel returned to his roots to revive the historic vineyards of his hometown.
The vineyards are situated on granite-rich soils with distinctive blue stones, similar to those found in top Beaujolais crus. This unique terroir, coupled with biodynamic farming practices, allows Domaine Rostaing-Tayard to produce wines with remarkable depth and authenticity. The estate’s commitment to sustainability is evident in every step of the process, from vineyard management to winemaking, ensuring harmony with the environment.
Domaine Rostaing-Tayard’s wines are celebrated for their expressive character and minimal intervention approach. The Gamay wines are vibrant and earthy with lively acidity, while the Chardonnays offer a balance of fruity richness and elegant texture. Each bottle captures the spirit of the Coteaux du Lyonnais, making Domaine Rostaing-Tayard a true gem in French viticulture.
