Bruno Borie is a prominent Bordeaux winemaker, primarily known for managing Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, a prestigious Second Growth estate in the Saint-Julien appellation.

This is the last vintage of the Ducluzeau label and it is exceptional! The wine was crafted using the same high-end techniques and equipment from his primary Ducru-Beaucaillou operation, including advanced methods like optical sorting and fractional pressing.

"Coming from gravelly soils, the Merlot-dominated 2018 Château Ducluzeau, which includes 11% each of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon, rates with the finest wines in Listrac. This medium-bodied, concentrated, incredibly satisfying effort has lots of berry fruits, spring flowers, and gravelly mineral-like aromas and flavors. It’s well worth drinking and should keep for at least 7-8 years." 92 Points, Jeb Dunnuck

Chateau Ducluzeau is a small, family-owned wine estate situated in the Listrac-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, France, owned by Bruno Borie, a prominent Bordeaux wine producer who also manages the prestigious Château Ducru-Beaucaillou and Château Lalande-Borie in the Saint-Julien appellation. Spanning approximately 10 hectares of carefully tended vineyards, the estate produces wines primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon (55-60%) and Merlot (40-45%), focusing on traditional, sustainable winemaking practices with manual harvesting and minimal intervention. Their wines are characterized by elegant, medium-bodied profiles featuring red and black fruit notes, soft tannins, and subtle hints of cedar and tobacco, typically aged 12-18 months in French oak barrels. As part of Bruno Borie's wine portfolio, which reflects a commitment to traditional Bordeaux winemaking while embracing modern techniques, Ducluzeau represents the artisanal side of Bordeaux winemaking, offering high-quality, terroir-driven wines at an accessible price point (€15-€30), with vintages from years like 2014, 2015, and 2016 being particularly noteworthy for their consistent quality and balanced expressions of the Listrac-Médoc region's unique characteristics.
